Mercury is the last planet to leave the after-party in your social sector. It lands in your 12th house on the 1st. Bringing the number of planets in your psychic circulation in here to four (Sun, Mercury, Venus and Mars). Before it leaves Sagittarius and your 11th, it makes final squares to your old ruler Saturn (30th) and then Neptune (1st) in your 2nd house. This asks you what you have continued to expend precious resources on – especially soul/emotional ones, but which haven’t brought you the satisfaction, outcome or support you hoped. Perhaps that friendship or even that circle. Or you have continued to go after a goal you honestly are no longer invested in.
Take a moment to recalibrate, rest and retreat. And reclaim those scattered resources. Whatever you do, don’t see this as the year getting off to a slow start. The first on Jan 3, opposition Mars in your 12th. And the second in late December. So, the first full moon of the year and the last, are both Cancer supermoons. I have used a bookend metaphor to describe them. So, think of the months to come as individual volumes in a series that these bookends hold in place. Like Game of Thrones or Bridgerton.
We talk about the ‘pace’ in stories. There are those which feel like a rollercoaster ride from cover to cover. Think of these as authored by Mars or ruler Uranus (or a collab between them!). And then those which unfold in a series of peaks and then troughs. Where we have action alternated with reflection and the emotional arc of the characters. The latter kind of tale is what you are currently in under this first supermoon. Its opposition to Mars tells you first to pick your battles. And most importantly, the need for healthy boundaries. Especially if you are feeling depleted or have been running on empty for a while. Look to any feelings of burn-out, being overwhelmed and exhaustion and do whatever you need to recharge or heal that frazzled spirit. You are weeks away from one of your most powerful birthday seasons yet. All the more reason to be ready.

You have grit, determination, staying power, faith and endurance to bring to one specific aim or goal this week, Pisces. Ruler Neptune and Saturn in your sign are getting ready to leave you. For good. Neptune will not return to Pisces in your lifetime. When Saturn exits your sign in February, it won’t return for another 28-29 years. This is your time to commit to something important and very real. And be willing now to stay the course.
