ARIES
You know what you want – and how to get it
Set a new direction
Bold, brazen, blazing glory awaits you in ‘26!
Mercury ends its shadiness in Sagittarius and your 9th this week (15th). The same day as ruler Mars is on the move into Capricorn and your 10th. You now emerge from that retro haze knowing not only what you want – but how to get it.
You also know what you don’t want. And arrive at an important release point with this week’s late arriving new moon in your 9th (20th). This new moon sets your soul compass which now points in a fresh direction. One filled with optimism, limitless scope and adventure. At the same time a quest is ignited within you, you will be looking at what is holding you back. Or simply weighing you down.
That’s what you are choosing to release now. Fearlessly and without any guilt attached. It could be the only thing you need to get out of your way is your own self-imposed restrictions. No matter what you’ve accomplished up until this date, know this is just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to what you can attain, achieve or accomplish. This week’s squares to Saturn and Neptune in your 12th created by the Sun, new moon and also Venus which makes a slow-moving square to Saturn which takes us on into next week. All this simply cements both your vision and resolve. And sees you totally focussed on attaining that outcome, Aries. Distraction free.
Solstice Day sees the Sun join ruler Mars in Capricorn (21st). This is the day when the Sun appears to stand still in the sky. So, follow the Sun and pause to tally up those achievements. Use the holiday period as a period where you take that deep breath and ready yourself for your next big achievement. But Mars is there to remind you – it only happens when you take action. Don’t forget that magic ingredient!
In a nutshell: This week’s new moon in Sagittarius and your 9th reboots your brave, Aries. Just take it that whatever you’ve accomplished to date – you’re about to make your biggest, boldest move yet. More in your New Moon in Sagittarius Moonscope.

TAURUS
Clarity defines that new direction
Wait for the moment to act
Take that step towards empowered change
Mars’ arrival in Capricorn and your 9th ignites the impetus to make those bold moves, Taurus. We are also at the end of Mercury’s Watch and Wait retro-period in Sagittarius and your 8th. All this combined with some tight squarers between the Sun/New Moon in your 8th and Saturn and Neptune in your 11th, points to you now consciously setting your future on a fresh course.
You are the sign which never makes changes in haste. Or lightly for that matter. You like to maintain the status quo. Especially when this revolves around something or someone even, that you have invested heavily in. But this week points to empowered and also the realisation, that things now have to change. And you must be the one to change them. Do look to the new moon (20th) which squares Neptune for a reality-biting point of transformation.
Yes, we are in the festive season and if you don’t want to rock the boat (yet), that is understandable. But you are also the sign of resolve and determination. And once you make up your mind, there is no force in the cosmos that can change it, Taurus. And this is your moment especially as ruler Venus also squares Saturn – a slow dance across the 21st and into next week. With the Sun now in your 9th (21st), you’re already looking ahead to 2026. To what you want to do and where you want to get to. The first action we take to bring about empowered change always takes place in our minds. Then the actions follow. That’s your strategy right now, Taurus. You’ll simply wait for your moment. But that moment is now a sure and certain thing. Just as is the change you want to make.
In a nutshell: A pivotal point of self-directed power arrives with this week’s new moon in Sagittarius and your 8th house. You know what needs to change. And know you must change it. But you’ll wait for the perfect moment, Taurus. More in your New Moon in Sagittarius Moonscope.

GEMINI
It’s all in the relating, Gemini
Imagine more for yourself
Retrogrades prove – hindsight really is 20/20!
Ruler Mercury flies free of retroshade at the start of the week (15th). And you are now putting those retro-realisations and insights delivered by the Gemini supermoon into effect. Especially when it comes to partnerships and duos, duets and double acts of all descriptions.
New beginnings with unions – or what you want from them, call on your to make choices and decisions around how long term love, collaborations, partnerships, working unions and even that connection to your BFF unfolds from this point onwards. And to be very clear on these. The Sun, new moon and also Venus in your 7th are making a series of squares between Saturn and Neptune in Pisces and your 10th of attainment and status. This also includes the status of your relationship. As well as your career and path in life. With Mars now in Capricorn and your 8th, you have the courage to name what this is – and own it. As well as act on it as needed. For some of you, this can involve imagining more. Especially if you now realise you have settled for less. Or your choices have not given you the return that you hoped for.
Others are happy to cement and ‘put a ring on it’, their existing relationship. What works gains greater depth and meaning for you. Some of you could even be in line for validation and rewards as the Sun joins Mars in your 8th on Solstice Day (21st). But you’ll also see where changes need to occur. Your festive gift from the stars this Christmas is certainty. The Real Thing. Knowing if you have it or arriving at the place where you now know what it looks like. Real love or any kind of double act, doesn’t need to be perfect. It just needs to be perfect for you both. And that kind of certainty is the best present of all.
In a nutshell: Take your retro-insights and apply them to partnerships – or future ones, now ruler Mercury escapes retroshadow and a new moon ushers in a new era of love in your 7th. More in your New Moon in Sagittarius Moonscope.

CANCER
Take care of the business of taking care of you
Prioritise wellbeing
Vulnerability is how you show and share the love
Taking care of the business of being you is a life-long occupation, Cancer. And unless you do, you simply cannot enjoy all the good things life has to offer. Running on empty, feeling drained, burn-out or simply ignoring your own needs because you are prioritising others, makes for a dull, diminished and often emotionally frazzled Cancer. You are no longer the pearl of the zodiac, precious and glowing, but the discarded oyster shell from someone’s banquet.
We are having none of that with this week’s new moon in Sagittarius and your 6th (20th). It arrives just a day before the winter solstice when the Sun crosses into Capricorn and your 7th house. Bringing you your season of partnership. But first – service, devotion, work and community – with co-workers for instance, are ruled by your 6th. As is your service and devotion to yourself. With the Sun, new moon and Venus in your 6th, all squaring Saturn and Neptune in your 9th, you’ll embrace the paradox that setting limits, boundaries and creating structure in your life is the key to happiness, freedom and your wellbeing. It truly is the ‘put your own oxygen mask on first’ rule. You cannot help others unless you first help yourself. And you cannot give or receive love unless you are at your best.
The new moon sees you establish habits and also set limits which stick. But the squares tell you this may be challenging. Because it may involve you having to say no, be vulnerable and ask for help or simply take steps to create firm boundaries so you get that valuable recharge time. Lucky when it comes to this, you have help from Mars which enters Capricorn on the 15th. Handing you the courage and the confidence to express those needs.
Know what, Cancer? You don’t need to be afraid to either set clear limits or show your vulnerability. If you do, others simply love you the more for it. And want to show you their love by stepping up. That’s just one more reason to put yourself if not first, then equal in terms of what you prioritise. And not just for your partnership season. But part of your daily love devotion – 365 days a year.
In a nutshell: Courage and charisma add up to you feeling safe to be vulnerable. This week’s new moon in your 6th sees you set healthy priorities when it comes to self-care and expressing your needs. While the Solstice shows you that you need to feel your best to give and receive love. More in your New Moon in Sagittarius Moonscope.

LEO
Look to what dims that glow
Protect your dreams
‘Tis the season to shine bright!
In the deep midwinter – here comes the Sun! No, you don’t need to be in the Southern Hemisphere where ruler the Sun’s arrival in Capricorn and your 6th, marks the start of summer. You have a sundancing new moon in Sagittarius and your 5th (20th). A winter high point which sparks joy and a whole lot more besides.
Your ruler, the new moon and also Venus in your 5th are all engaged in a series of tense squares with Saturn and Neptune in your 8th. What these show you are what has been dimming your soul glow, restricting you or causing you to give into insecurities, fears around failure, limitation or lack, and even the opinions of others. Perhaps even without realising it. Mercury now free and clear of retroshade in Sagittarius (from the 15th), helps clear away any remaining confusion
The new moon in your 5th is your infusion point. When the radiant light of your ruler mixes with the potential of the new moon. Remember – the moon is your spiritual planet. So, the new moon in Sagittarius is all about the quest, the journey, the desire that lights up your soul. And makes your heart beat faster. Your intuition is the star that guides you along this path towards creation, exploration, romance and self-expression. It also reignites your self-belief. And yes, belief in love, what you do or want or even the journey itself. You rekindle that spark with a loved one or even with a project, plan or desire. And yes, ditch the fears or what may have held you back in the process.
Hold these thoughts as the Sun follows Mars into Capricorn and your 6th house (21st). The solstice is the time when your ruler appears to stand still in the sky. You can now take that new dream or reforged vision, and apply practical, everyday methods to free up time or take those steps to make it happen for you. This is also your house of schedules, systems and what you focus on and prioritise. As we prepare to cross from the old year to the new, give your dreams the priority they deserve.
In a nutshell: Dreams are more precious than gold. So under this week’s new moon in your fabulizing 5th, give them the priority they deserve. Baby it may be cold outside, but what makes you glow – priceless. More in your New Moon in Sagittarius Moonscope.

VIRGO
Create your own holiday traditions
Gift yourself joy
Deck the halls with retro-free jolly!
Ruler Mercury decks the halls in retro-free jolly as it escapes its post-shadow and puts you in falalalala-lalalala mood when it comes to that holiday vibe. If you are planning on heading anywhere for Christmas, you have green lights from the 15th.
But let’s simply pause and have a quick fireside chat away from false jollies and Christmas rom-coms crowding our streaming services. This is for those Virgos who may be looking at spending Christmas alone. Or who need to limit the time they spend with their families to something like the Boxing Day turkey curry buffet. Time for your own traditions if so, Virgo. If not home for the holidays – own the holidays instead. Make them special, merry and bright in your own way.
You have a new moon in Sagittarius and your 4th (20th). And a series of squares between the Sun, moon and also Venus in here to Saturn and Neptune in your 7th. This can bring tension but at the same time, see you create a way to mark the solstice and yuletide in a way that makes it so much more personal for you. And this also applies to Virgos who are heading home or spending time with families. Create your own way of celebrating.
This may mean eating what you consider ‘holiday’ food. You don’t have to opt for the traditional turkey and all the trimmings. From the gifts you give to how you spend the holidays – with whom or where – time to mark it in a way that’s both meaningful and merry. For you.
This week also sees Mars (15th) and the Sun land in Capricorn and your 5th. Your house of love, pleasure, children and what shines brightest in your life. Joy to the world includes not just the joy you bring to others, but the joy you allow yourself to experience. Which is why there’s no better time than this time of year, to create something wonderful.
In a nutshell: With ruler Mercury escaping post-retro and a new moon in your house of home, family and roots – look to how you can create your own holiday traditions. In ways that make it special for you, Virgo. More in your New Moon in Sagittarius Moonscope.

LIBRA
Look to the bigger picture
The truth may be inconvenient – but it also frees you
Set those ideas and plans in motion
Something hasn’t been working for a while, Libra. And this week highlights exactly what. As well as the long term repercussions of it. This could even have been having an impact on your overall health and wellbeing. Especially in terms of your energy levels and mental/spiritual health. There’s no sugar coating this thanks to the end of the Mercury retroshade in Sagittarius (15th). Plus a series of squares between the Sun, the new moon and ruler Venus in your 3rd to Saturn and Neptune in your 6th, highlight the need for adjustments which are more than just New Year’s resolutions, but work and lifestyle changes.
This may feel inescapable as well as inconvenient. But the truth often is. You awareness around this issue will peak across the 21st – 24th with the Venus/Saturn square. But the good news is that it also hands you the remedy or alternative way of doing things.
The new moon itself (20th), sees you ready to roll with an idea, project or plan you’ve been toying with. Ideas only live up to their potential when we do something with them. Otherwise they simply remain ideas. You may have been dipping in and out with this. Or it simply keeps resurfacing and niggling you. This isn’t just a pipe dream. There is something really worth the follow-through. It may be your own fear of success that is holding you back. And if so, own it but at the same time, put it behind you. Time to silence it. For keeps.
Mars enters your 4th on the 15th and the Sun follows on Solstice Day (21st). Yes, the fires and candlelight may be delightful where you are, Libra. But something tells me you may be looking to be somewhere else this time next year. But for now, gather your community of souls around you. Be they relatives or your urban family. Especially those who support your wellbeing and back your ideas. And boost your glow at the same time.
In a nutshell: A truth telling new moon in your 3rd house shows you exactly what the repercussions are for continuing to let something slide. It’s also time to take action on that idea you’ve been hothousing, Libra. Make the most of it with your New Moon in Sagittarius Moonscope.

SCORPIO
Upgrade that value system
You personal stock – on the rise
Don’t wait – make those resolutions today!
The final new moon of 2025 appears in Sagittarius and your 2nd house (20th). This is a late-blooming new moon as this occurs the day before the Sun moves into Capricorn and your 3rd house and the Winter Solstice in the Northern Hemisphere and the Summer in the Southern. New moons always usher in fresh starts and new beginnings. So, if you have New Year’s resolutions on your mind – do not wait until Jan 1 to put them into action. The day of the new moon is a far better day to set your intentions – and unlike those resolutions – see them through.
This is because the new moon is in your house of values and self-worth. And triggers brand new energy in the form of expansion, opportunity and a willingness to simply try something and see what happens. Certainly in terms of how you see and value yourself, and how you a treated and rewarded by others. Chances are you have spent the Mercury retrograde adding something up or assessing exactly what it has brought now. Now, as Mercury clears retrograde on the 15th, its time to act on this. You’ll certainly know if something adds up. Or pays out in terms of your investment. So, refine that value system and above all – state your worth. Goals that support these areas you set now – and how you get this across, are likely to stick. As are changes in how others see and treat you.
Anything that subtracts from this, is no longer aligned or needs to be radically renegotiated or even released, will be shown up via the series of squares between the Sun, new moon and Venus with Saturn and Neptune in your 5th. Certainly you will get to see how others value you via their actions. And you’ll be very upfront with either your appreciation – or the opposite, now old ruler Mars enters Capricorn and your 3rd (15th).
You won’t hold back when it comes getting your point across – one way or another. It’s a time when your words are infused with warmth and wisdom, ideas sparkle and shine like candlelight and conversations are honest and free-flowing as the Sun lands in Capricorn and your 3rd (21st). Solstice time brings not just the close of the year, but fires up those plans and ideas you have for the new one. Watch for news, fresh ideas, an uptick on your social media feed or a conversation which moves a relationship in a brand new direction. All of which speak volumes about your worth.
In a nutshell: One of the best new moons of the year for upgrading your self worth and setting whole life budget resolutions appears in Sagittarius and your 2nd house of money and values. So, don’t wait for the year’s end to set those resolutions, Scorpio. Especially around what you want to receive. More in your New Moon in Sagittarius Moonscope.

SAGITTARIUS
Finally, it has happened to me
Right in front of my face
And I just cannot hide it
CeCe Peniston. Finally
Crank up that retro dance track, Sag, because finally this week – Mercury clears its retro-shadiness in your sign (15th), and you have last minute new moon marking the astrological start of your new cycle (20th).
You’re unleashed and in full forward flight again. Especially when it comes to those visions, plans and dreams you want to set in motion. But wait – is there still a fly in the body butter? Or one last lingering issue to be finally dealt with? If so, no more procrastination over it. And also no more pretence when it comes to what you really want. You are your dream, baby. Embody it and be bold making those moves.
The Sun, new moon and also Venus make squares to both Saturn and Neptune in your 4th. Asking if you are people pleasing or setting what you truly want aside. Especially when it comes to family expectations. Leos are the sign which needs to follow their hearts. Yours is the sign which has to follow its truth. These squares ask if you are doing that. They do more than just pose the question ‘If not, why not?’. They ask: What is stopping you? Hint: It stands between you and that truth. And recognising this is what sets you free.
Rock out and set something in motion or commit to wherever your truth wants to take you at the time of this new moon. Its square to Neptune sparks your imagination and hands you a new vision or star to aim for. You’ll no longer allow the small minds of others to limit your thinking. You can play it safe. Or you can play to live.
Mars exits your sign on the 15th and the Sun follows into Capricorn and your 2nd on the Solstice (21st). It’s a day when the Sun appears to stand still in the sky. What makes your world go round, Sag? Probably more than just money. But money will be in focus for the next month. Most likely as you focus on funding that vision. Barriers to progress lift, your focus becomes laser-sharp and precise. And you know exactly what you want. And need to do to get it. Finally.
In a nutshell: No more wheel spinning or confusion around what action to take. Your certainty cements and your path clears of blockages as Mercury clears post-shadow in your sign and the new moon realigns your soul compass. More in your New Moon in Sagittarius Moonscope.

CAPRICORN
Effortlessly release what weighs you down
Follow your insight
Happy solstice season birthday, Sea Goat!
Let go and step into your new cycle lighter, free of over-thinking and ditch those burdens as the Sun arrives in your sign on Solstice Day. It is time to celebrate you, Capricorn. Your richness of spirit, your dedication to your path, cause or goal, your ability to find a path where others simply see a rocky road. There truly ain’t no mountain high enough that you cannot climb when you put your mind to it.
Mars arrives in your sign on the 15th. Kick-starting your new cycle and handing you blazing self-assurance with a side order of va-va-voom. This is the same day as Mercury clears its final retroshadow in Sagittarius and your 12th house. It acts to clarify your purpose and those all important ambitions going forward. And along with the new moon in here (20th), brings inner alignment and clears away any remaining inner conflict or confusion around what you may still need to release or let go of.
A series of tight squares – three of which involve ruler Saturn in your 3rd and the new moon’s square to Neptune also in your 3rd, show you exactly what you need to do. They also demonstrate quite clearly you should not ignore your gut. This is a new moon of faith and hope. The belief in something outside of yourself. Or in your future. Your higher self and inner guide. What you cannot yet see and touch but know is ‘out there’ waiting to manifest. It may ask you to take a leap of faith. To let something go when you don’t yet know what the future will bring. Or to take that step onto that unexplored path despite not knowing where it will take you. Look to the slow moving Venus/Saturn square which forms across the 21st -24th and stay linked to your inner guidance. Especially when it comes to relationships.
When the Sun arrives in your sign, it appears to stand still in the sky. A good metaphor is to imagine this as the moment when in fact, the world is revolving around you. You are at the centre of a vortex of possibilities. And can now go in any direction you want. Take time to decide, sweet sea-goat. And celebrate you while you decide what mountain to climb next.
In a nutshell: Happy solar return, Capricorn! The Sun’s arrival in your sign is when the year pivots. And you face a brand new direction for 2026. And yes, the universe does appear to revolve around you on this day. You’re filled with daring, optimism and hope. While this week’s new moon allows you to effortlessly shed what’s no longer needed. AQUARIUS
You can revisit the past – but you no longer live there
Make that circle one where you can be yourself
Draw down some new moon manifestation magic!
Old loves and people from your past could come knocking this week. Just ensure this is more than seasonal sentimentality, Aquarius. How have you grown and evolved? How have they? Are you still on the same page especially when it comes to shared values? ‘Tis the season of goodwill to all. We are all on our journeys. Sometimes we travel on the same path or parallel ones. Other times they diverge and cross once more. But then separate again.
Of course its good to get together and reminisce. But with Mars (15th) and then the Sun (21st) in Capricorn and your 12th house, you are now entering your pre-birthday declutter. The time when we decide what to keep and what to release ahead of our new cycle. And for you, this is going to be huge especially around who you know and are connected to with ruler Uranus moving into Gemini for a long stay. So, this season, share the cheer by all means. But understand it may not be more than that.
This week brings you a new moon in your house of friendships, groups, communities and your goals (20th). Plus a series of tight squares between the Sun, new moon and Venus in your 11th and old ruler Saturn and Neptune in your 2nd. The new moon is the best of the year for setting new goals or resolutions. And making them happen. Do not wait for Jan 1 to do this. This is potent, powerful cosmic magic. Unlike the new year which is just a calendar date.
Some of you may be spending the holidays with friends who feel like family. Expect to make new connections in the next month. Especially now Mercury clears its retroshade from the 15th.
But the squares may test some friendships. They highlight those where you are still aligned. But also expose fake friends, those which have lost their resonance – but you may still be happy to catch up occasionally; and most importantly any connections where you may have felt under pressure to dial down your authenticity. Look to the slow moving square which forms between Venus and Saturn across the 21st – 24th. This one in particular shows you who in that circle is 100% pure gold.
In a nutshell: The past may feature and you may even revisit it or catch up for old times sake. But you’re aware the good old days have been replaced by better ones. The new moon in Sagittarius and your 11th is one of the best for expanding your social life – and setting fresh goals. More in your Moonscope, Aquarius!

PISCES
Set your intentions
Radiate like firelight
You have a vision – now go for it!
Roles and goals get redefined this week. You know what you want. And nothing is going to stop you from getting it. This applies to your personal ambitions as well as any professional ones. You also regain clarity and focus around what you need in the long term now Mercury escapes retro-shade in Sagittarius and your 10th (15th).
We have a bright new moon of new beginnings, fresh starts and success redefined on the 20th. This week also hands you a series of tight, questioning squares created by the Sun, new moon and also Venus in your 10th and Saturn and ruler Neptune in your sign. They ask for an accounting, Pisces. Especially when it comes to the time and effort you have invested in something and the rewards or take-out you have received. These reveal whether or not your return has equalled your efforts. There is no escaping this bottom line. So, you will either shift your focus and precious resources elsewhere or some may now look to a new direction entirely.
You are the captain of your ship. And it is up to you to know what course you want to go in. No more drifting with the tides. Set your intentions. Have a direction or clear goal firmly in mind. And don’t allow yourself to be blown off-course. Or put up with excuses from those who fail to deliver.
You are now entering your peak social and goal-getting season. Mars fires up both confidence and intention as it arrives in Capricorn and your 11th on the 15th. The Sun follows on the 21st. Solstice time brings your focus onto your manifestation prowess. And the people who support and surround you. Now you have a clear direction in mind, look to how your goals align with this. And how the path you have chosen supports them. Do not underestimate the power of attraction that surrounds you now. Mars adds confidence and charisma. A fiery warmth that others gravitate towards. The more you radiate and share this, the more you gather your co-creators and collaborators on that dream journey you’re undertaking. Ruler Neptune has expanded your imagination. Saturn has grounded that vision. You have everything you need to get anything you want in ‘26.
In a nutshell: The new moon in Sagittarius clarifies your intentions and clears the way towards success in ‘26. Whether this is around those worldly ambitions or something more personal. You’re clear about what you want. And the direction you need to go in. Self doubt moves out! More in your New Moon in Sagittarius Moonscope.
