Sagittarius
Sagittarius Yearly Forecast 2026
Lucky chances and big surprises colour your year
Love doesn’t look like it used to
Ready to get wild?
2026 could be a wild, unpredictable ride thanks to Uranus settling in for the long love revolution in Gemini and your 7th from April 26. This may turn into the year you have been waiting to live for some time, Sag, as ruler Jupiter enters fiery Leo and your 9th house in June.
Embrace your wildness because just like Bilbo Baggins – you are off on an unexpected journey. But unlike Bilbo, you are the sign which would welcome the appearance of a band of dwarfs on your doorstep keen to hire you as a travelling burglar and accompany them on an adventurous quest! One major cycle will most definitely close – a bit like the door at Bag End. But take it this simply widens the road ahead of you.
This cycle will have its roots back in 2017 – perhaps even further back than that. What goes around comes around again and again. Until you spot an exit ramp or the universe offers up an enticing new direction. This will be yours in ‘26 thanks to the double-whammy, double your luck combo of both ruler Jupiter and the South Node crossing into Leo. Which of course, sees the North Node cross into Aquarius and your 3rd house. All of this happens in July.
You also have both Neptune (Jan 14) and then Saturn (Feb 14), moving back into Aries and your 5th house. This time to stay. Romance, love, creativity, conception, children, self-expression, holidays, performances, attraction and stardom – IRL and online. What you do simply for the pure joy of it – hobbies and pastimes that have no age limit. All these are ruled by your 5th house.
Time to be a fire-starter, Sag. But with a key difference. While your imagination is as limitless as the galaxy itself, you have an awareness and grounded plan that may have been missing before. Just what changed? You did. Or rather your thinking. You aren’t about to totally abandon your signature soul moves of taking fearless leaps into the unknown. But what you are doing now is leveraging all your past experiences and bringing them to bear when it comes to what you now want to create, attract or set in motion. Thank Saturn for that one.
You may begin something significant – a very different project that turns into a lifetime achievement, attract a lasting love, commit to a calling or even parenting, say yes to a big opportunity, excel in the arts or storytelling (yours or other people’s), embrace opportunity or launch that big dream out there on Feb 20 when for the first time in our lifetimes, Saturn and Neptune meet in Aries. Hold that dream, Sag. It could be about to become very real.
Single Sagittarians looking for that wild-at-heart, fellow free spirit could see that call answered. And there’s something about this prospect that matches your enhanced ability to balance head and heart when going after those dreams. This individual matches you when it comes to that vast vision and big picture thinking. But what really makes them potentially the ideal match is their ability to cut to the chase. To hone in on what’s most important and also their ability to plan. You love their smarts and spontaneity. This is someone curious and open-minded. Who has a broad knowledge base and diverse interests. They get your need for a certain amount of freedom.
Love: Different
If someone who matches this description does appear – you can not just Saturn and Neptune in your 5th – but Uranus now in Gemini for the long term. 2026 sees both your relationship houses lit as well as Jupiter in Leo and your 9th which I will detail shortly. Uranus moves back into Gemini on April 26.
Uranus always brings the revolution, the surprise, innovation, sometimes the upheaval, and usually overturns our thinking. Think you have a ‘type’? Think again. You fall head-over-heels for the complete opposite.
Uranus rules Aquarius – the sign of friendships, groups and communities. So, in terms of partnerships – and that over-used term of ‘soulmate’, there’s a need to be very open-minded about the kind of entanglements you will find yourself experiencing now Uranus is in Gemini and your 7th. No matter what form they take, they will be with people whom you will never forget. And free your thinking and your soul about just what love and togetherness is.
This is liberated love and togetherness. Anything from that collaboration to that BFF. From a throuple to the traditional horse and carriage. It could be a Lavender Marriage between two friends – one gay, one straight. It could see you together but maintaining separate homes. All the way to simply making a commitment to be a partner to yourself. But what it will be is freedom to experience love in a way that works for you both.
Because Uranus wants our evolution, this does mean that anything which has become stuck or confining probably won’t survive this transit. Uranus rules the sudden and shocking. The unexpected but also the awakening. The bolt from the blue which can be the lightning strike of instant attraction. Or throw us out of our ivory tower as depicted in the Tarot. So, under Uranus in your 7th you may experience sudden changes in your partnership status. Which happen without warning. You move from that permanently single status to suddenly settled. But if you do end up back on the market and it was not your choice, ruler Jupiter has a plan for you.
Just How Lucky Can Lucky Be?
Ruler Jupiter arrives in Leo and your 9th house on June 30 bringing with it the Summer of Love. Life takes on a golden glow. You stand out and sparkle. And yes, there is a touch of glamour surrounding all that you do.
The dictionary defines glamour (noun) as: the quality of fascinating, alluring, or attracting, especially by a combination of charm and good looks.
-
excitement, adventure, and unusual activity.
the glamour of being an explorer.
-
magic or enchantment; spell; witchery
Then there’s the golden age of Hollywood kind of ‘glamour’ – charm, allure, fascination, star quality. Take it the Jupiter in Leo effect has you serving it, Sag.
It’s been 12 years since Jupiter last paid this area of your chart a visit. As Jupiter moves through Leo it will trine your Sagittarius chart factors. When this happens (if you are unsure one of our astrologers can pin-point this for you), expect Jupiter to be operating at its most open-handed and opportunity creating. And double up on not just the glam -but your luck.
This is your house of luck, long distance travel and foreign affairs of all kinds, academia, the law, sports, the great outdoors, large animals – larger than a sheep and especially horses, and big dreams and big loves. Jupiter is set to supersize these. All with a touch of Leo-style showbiz glamour thrown it.
You are always the sign willing to take a chance. Your bold, optimism means you usually leap without checking what that brown stuff actually is. But come up covered in chocolate! Jupiter in Leo simply adds the sprinkles. You’ll go big – or go home. Newton’s Third Law states: For every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. You’ll see luck as not something random – but simply a response to those steps you take. Call it Jupiter’s Law of Luck if you like. Luck is something you can set in motion. It places people, opportunities and solutions in your path when you move. The bigger the moves – the luckier you get.
Needless to say, this is Jupiter at its boldest and willing to take you further. Have your passport ready, Sag. That bucketlist trip could become a reality. Those big ideas could take you further than you imagined. From that dream vacation to that dream location – moving, studying or working abroad is also possible. And yes, that big love may be from far, far away. Or you could simply find yourself falling it love with a country. It doesn’t get much bigger than that.
A second shift occurs along with Jupiter. Fate is at work with this one. And could well determine your direction as the North Node moves from Pisces into Aquarius and your 3rd. While the South Node switches from Virgo to Leo. The Nodes move backwards through the signs. So, your ruler won’t engage with the South Node until later this year. But when it does, this can see the start of a fated, destiny driven cycle. Especially concerning other countries or people from overseas you may have karmic ties with. If you feel ‘called’ to study a particular subject – consider you may have done so before.
As the Nodes shift – so does the eclipse axis. What we have this year are two final lunar eclipses on the old eclipse axis. And then two solar eclipses on the new one. Eclipses always come in pairs. The new moon in Aquarius on Feb 17 triggers the first one. This new moon also marks the start of the Chinese New Year of the Horse, and creates an Annular Solar Eclipse in your 3rd house. This is the type of eclipse where we see the ‘ring of fire’ effect around the Sun.
In your 3rd – this is a communications blackout or a redacted statement. You may have some of the facts – but not all of them. Try to avoid signing important documents or contracts, entering into agreements, purchases and do beware of anyone random dropping into your DM’s. Fact check and don’t fall for fake news and disinformation. And if someone is promising you something – don’t bank on it until you see it. Talk can be very cheap under an eclipse. But actions always speak louder than words. And cannot be misread.
The next eclipse is on the old node axis – in Virgo and your 10th on March 3. This is a total lunar eclipse. And its sextile to ruler Jupiter still at this time in Cancer and your 8th asks you to be in total control of yourself. No matter what others may be doing.
The new moon in Leo (Aug 12) creates a total solar eclipse. This is a complete blackout or cover up. A total blind spot. If you are planning on travelling this year, do try to avoid it around this date. And this is one of the few dates this year when you should rein in that signature leap before you look move as for once – that may not be chocolate.
The final lunar eclipse in Pisces and your 4th (Aug 28) is a partial lunar eclipse and an emotional release point. You are done with a cycle of living or a pattern. This could quite literally close a door for some of you as you may in fact be moving home. But the sense of something very much ‘lived out’ and now put behind you is most definitely what this eclipse is about.
One final word of advice as we approach the end of the year and your birthday season. Attend to matters of the body, soul and spirit. You will have spent the majority of ‘26 careering from one breathtaking experience to the next. But for a few months as the year winds down, it’s time to slow down. You may find your body become very sensitive. And also your psychic self needs to be heard. Venus will retrograde in Scorpio and your 12th house on Oct 3. During the Venus retrograde which runs from Oct 3 to November 14, slow down and tune in to your inner voice. With a Venus retrograde it is inadvisable to start a new love affair, look for any new partnership or enter into new financial arrangements. Venus will also not clear its post-shadow until Dec 13 – the day when Jupiter reverses. But these retrograde may literally allow you to rest, recalibrate and plan your next move.
Your birthday cycle promises rebooted excitement, pivots and surprises as the full Supermoon in Gemini conjunct Uranus (Nov 24) tells you that the year won’t end on a dull note. Your own personal new moon is a micromoon – the new moon is furthest from the earth (Dec 9). Treat this as symbolic, Sag. And as ruler Jupiter retrogrades from Dec 13, simply as a stop and refuel point. It shows you that no matter how far you’ve come – you’ll go even further in ‘27. Fuelled by more than just chance – synchronicity is simply how the universe works its magic. Second star (or micromoon) to the right, Sag – and straight on to 2027.
In a nutshell: Big planetary shifts see changes around who you love, what you love to do and even where that love takes place. Jupiter brings you a summer of love that lasts a whole year as it arrives in Leo. But with Uranus in your partnership zone – get ready for a love like no other.
