I spoke to Rachel about a specific event I chose not to attend for various reasons which was troubling me. A set of individuals had invited my partner and I to dinner (they were known to my partner before we got together – and these individuals are very cliquey with the ex). I declined immediately as the energy felt so very off – I felt punched in the stomach upon learning about the invitation. My partner went without me.

I called Rachel at the time the dinner was occurring. Rachel picked up on the dynamics of the people at the event, their issues, their characters. She even went so far as to comment that one of the couples relationships was hanging on a thread. As I learnt the next day, it transpires one of the partners didn’t even show up to the event which was in their own home so the dynamic of the dinner shifted away from me – he had ‘bolted’ and walked out. I called her today to let her know she was spot on and what had actually happened.

Needless to say it was helpful to have my own feelings and intuition validated by Rachel. She’s always really straight forward to speak with and it’s been a comfort when at times I’ve questioned myself and whether I am the problem. Always ALWAYS listen to your gut instinct.
