You’ll be determined to clear the decks as well as deck the halls this holiday season. Retro weather this month sees you bring your signature Virgo focus with the sole intention to get things done. That outstanding issue or unfinished business. What narks you or is causing frustration. You may even decide that you are going to be spending this holidays in a different way or different place. Especially if you feel you have outgrown your family ‘traditions’ or they just cause too much tension.

Above all, be honest if this is the case. And don’t allow things to drag on for fear of upsetting the mulled wine. Maybe it’s time to tactfully own that the annual turkey curry buffet is a minefield rather than festive fun. Be kind. But also – be kind to yourself.

Mars retrograde in your 12^th can expose what’s hot. And what’s not. Plus you have ruler Mercury also retrograde in your 4^th of family, home, roots and traditions. Yes, Mercury moves ahead again on the 15^th. But remains in retro-shade until the start of January. Any long-standing icks and irks can reach boiling point. And what’s more, you’re seen as the Grinch in all of this. That’s why it’s better to get ahead of it if you’re filled with festive dread rather than good cheer. And make that alternative arrangement. This may not involve leaving extended family out of the loop. If slaving in the kitchen sees you short on goodwill towards all, consider simply booking dinner at a hotel instead. It’s all about finding the ho-ho-ho for everyone. Including you. And the days to create something that works for all are the 7^th – 9^th when Venus and then Ceres meet Pluto in your 6^th.

Pay attention to signs and portents, burning hot synchronicities and also what returns under the Mars retrograde. Know that what has your name on it won’t get lost in the universal delivery system. Be ready to realign your goals by the time Mars reaches your 11^th. But for now, pay attention to your gut and above all, that ick if there is one.

Being a Retro Boss you know all about what not to do or commit to under any kind of retrograde. Keep in mind that Mars rules your money, assets, shared resources and your sex life. This is because Mars is the ruler of Aries and your 8^th house where all the above resides. So, try to avoid major decisions which touch on these areas if you can. Or if they cannot be helped, then do take your time over them. A red letter day to tackle anything comes on the 13^th when Mars opposes Venus. Try to sit with it until then.

Whatever needs to be done or announced, pick the 1^st to get it out of the way at the top of the month. The new Moon in your 4^th opposes Jupiter in your 10^th. But also squares Saturn in your 7^th. Despite what most people think, Saturn is your planet of pleasure. Why? Because it rules Capricorn and your 5^th house. Yes, from the 21^st, you will hit your annual pleasure peak. But the very start of December asks you whether you are taking our need for this as seriously as you take everything else?

Mercury retro allows you redesign things on the home front. And yes, even re-priortise your time and energy. Or allow others the opportunity to step up by delegating what needs to be done. Do let go of needing to have things done your way, however. What matters is the result – not how you attain it.

By the time ruler Mercury heads direct on the 15^th, you need to be looking at a clean slate. Especially when it comes to your decisions. You should also have your plans in place for what you want to attain or where you want to get to in ‘25 at this point. As the full Moon in your 10^th sets the stage for progress and getting serious about what you want. It also reminds you of what you said you were going to do – but then didn’t. Take it you have more than enough time to go back and retake the road to opportunity in the new year. But you know the drill, Virgo. No real moves until Mercury has cleared retroshadow at the start of January.

For now, clear the decks and deck the halls. One of your best days for enjoyment, indulgence and being in that Love, Actually state of mind comes on the 4^th with Venus in your 5^th angling to Neptune in your 7^th. Plus you’ll enjoy a feeling of renewed closeness or clarity with partners that feels like fresh snowfall from the 7^th when Neptune heads direct again.

Although things have slowed during the Mercury retrograde, if you look back to October you should be seeing constant and significant progress – even if it’s been in tiny steps. With the two Mercury/Jupiter oppositions (4^th and 26^th), this month plus the full Moon conjunct Jupiter (15^th), you should be at the very least ending the year with a sense of satisfaction. Having made inroads or simply crushed something you set out to do. And keep in mind that Jupiter stays with you in your success sector right up until June next year. After which it goes into major wish fulfilment mode when it enters Cancer and your 11^th.

By the time the Sun lands in your 5^th (21^st), you should have created a brilliant and workable plan for the holidays which has seen you off-load those pesky To Do’s. And given you the support you need to get the rest done while giving you time to enjoy yourself. The Sun is now completely free of Pluto’s influence in this house in your chart. And the new ‘Black’ Moon of the 30^th, is the first new Moon you have experienced without Pluto’s presence since 2008. This reconnects you back to your childlike source of wonder and creativity.
