Eclipse Season Begins

What a month we’re entering, with Leo blazing through August, lighting wildfires in our hearts. It’s eclipse season, with a solar eclipse in Leo. There hasn’t been one quite like this since 1999. That total solar eclipse brought the most meaningful plot twist of my life. It took me out of London and into the countryside, where I found my destiny. Not old enough to remember? Chiron Turns Retrograde

Let’s start at the beginning with another rare occurrence. Chiron, the mighty asteroid, is turning retrograde in Taurus, something that hasn’t happened since 1983. Chiron excavates our deepest wounds. The kind and magnificent centaur was accidentally shot by Hercules with an arrow poisoned with the Hydra’s incurable blood. As an immortal, he was in constant pain, ultimately giving up his immortality to free Prometheus, who had been chained to a rock by Zeus for giving fire to humans. His soul then became a constellation. During this retrograde, you’ll be looking at old wounds around travel, study and expressing your raw, authentic soul. Where do you wish you’d taken the road less travelled? Make sure you fit an adventure into August.

Mercury Enters Leo

Leo energy festoons this month with energetic lanterns. The South Node has recently moved into Leo, joining your ruler Mercury and, of course, the Sun. When Mercury enters Leo on the 9th, the magic begins. Mercury moves into your 12th house of all things woo-woo and witchy, bringing intuitive visions and strange coincidences while also exposing liars and lies. If you have anything to hide, I’d sort it out before the eclipse. Trust your intuition above all else now. With Mercury trine Neptune, this dizzy dance will lead you back into your soul’s power while helping you feel more secure in your relationships.

Solar Eclipse in Leo

The solar eclipse on the 12th amplifies all of this. Eclipses take us into the darkness and our fears, but then throw us back into the light. How do you feel about your intuition?
