Taurus, you divine creature. We have your ruler, Venus, going retrograde in your relationship zone. You’re reflecting on the intimate and one-to-one relationships from your lifetime. Who was the first person you ever met and thought, “You’re my person”? It could have been your best friend in primary school or your first experience of dating. All of those things.

It’s anybody with whom you’ve had that sense of “It’s me and you”, including business partnerships. You’re looking at it, and the past is coming back. It could be that an ex-lover gets in touch or your best friend from school drops you an email. Whatever it is, you’re reflecting on it.

The importance of reflecting on the past is that, hopefully, you realise how far you’ve come. Then you’re able to go to the next step when it comes to love and intimacy. If you’re in a relationship, you can reset it. You can go back to the good bits and inject some love back in. Or you may look back and go, “Oh, hello. This is a pattern.”

Whichever way this comes up for you, Venus retrograde is very powerful for you. That’s for the whole month and longer, although there will be a shift when Venus goes back into Libra. You move from looking at relationships to looking at how well you’ve taken care of yourself, your lifestyle and your habits. That happens towards the end of the month. For most of October, you’re looking at love, relationships and harmony, and how to bring that back into your life.

New Moon in Libra

The New Moon in Libra focuses on your patterns and habits. What small thing can you change to make yourself healthier and whole? With Venus squaring Mars, you’re also looking at how you nurture yourself. There may be things or power struggles around your home that are getting you down. What needs to shift in your home or family environment? The New Moon will help you release that.

Letting Go

On the 20th, Venus squares Pluto again. Very intense. You’re looking at what and whom you’re committed to. What do you love? What is your purpose in life? What is your reputation? What do you want to be known for? There may be a shift coming up. Are you resisting change?

My mother was a Taurus and my son is a Taurus. I know Taurus inside out and back to front, and I adore you because you’re very loyal. Letting go can be difficult, though. You may know in the corner of your mind that there’s something in your life you need to release, but that loyalty makes it hard. Sometimes you can’t be arsed with all the upheaval either. Think about it, because it’s going to come up towards the end of the month.

Full Moon in Taurus

On the 26th, we have a Full Moon in your sign, opposing the Sun in Scorpio and your relationship zone, and squaring Pluto. You’re readjusting things. Your intuition has the answers you need, so be still and allow that to happen. Write down the scenario you’re in now. Remember that Mercury is retrograde too, so listen carefully if there are misunderstandings. On the 30th, retrograde Mercury squares Mars again. There are things to resolve around home and family. Anything that came up on the New Moon could pop up again at the end of the month. You owe it to yourself to deal with it. Home is important to you. You need your security and to feel nurtured where you live.
