Hold On, It Gets Much Better

Aries, I bring excellent news. I am thrilled to announce that by the end of September, Mars, our ruler, enters Leo and we get our fire back.

Drive, confidence, joy, adventure, passion, flow. All the things that make us feel like ourselves start returning. Hold onto that thought as we travel through the month because September begins with Mars still in Cancer, and that has been intense.

Mars in Cancer puts a lot of energy into home, family and our emotional foundations, but it isn’t Mars at its feistiest. On the 1st, Mars squares Saturn in our sign, bringing questions about responsibility. What are you responsible for within your family unit, however you define family? What needs sorting around where you live? Where do you want stronger foundations?

There could be a little conflict around those questions, but Mercury sextile Mars gives you the facts and the words to deal with it. If you feel pushed, manipulated or controlled, resist the urge to go straight into battle. Analyse the situation, get to the main point and speak from your heart. You’ll make far more progress that way.

Venus in Scorpio Turns Up the Heat

On the 10th, Venus, planet of love and abundance, enters Scorpio, and this is one of the most sizzling Venus placements of the year for you.

Your charisma goes up several notches. People may find you more powerful and magnetic, and you’re drawing attraction towards you, which could include love, passion or financial opportunities.

Venus in Scorpio likes depth. Surface appearances won’t cut it. Look underneath. What is going on beneath the words, the attraction or the offer?

Venus is also retrograde from the 3rd, so past lovers may wander back into view, particularly connections involving obsession or unfinished emotional business. An old fixation may return, or a person who once had a fixation on you could reappear. If you have zero interest in reopening that door, keep your protection firmly in place.

Mercury also enters Libra on the 10th, helping enormously with relationships. You’re more interested in harmony, listening and compromise, and your natural Aries instinct to charge straight towards the point gets softened by a desire to find the middle way.

An Old Idea Wants Another Chance

Uranus turns retrograde and asks you to revisit the way you communicate your ideas.

Have you had an innovative idea that never made it out into the world? Did inspiration arrive at the wrong time? Is there an old thought, plan or piece of brilliance that deserves another look?

Bring it forward.

The Virgo New Moon is also sextile Mars, making this a brilliant time to change habits and routines and get physical around home and family. Declutter, move furniture, redecorate, clear cupboards, tackle the room you’ve been avoiding. Changing your physical environment helps clear the way for the new cycle ahead.

The Grand Air Trine

The Grand Air Trine on the 13th gives you the ability to rise above situations and see the whole picture.

Relationships, friendships and your own individuality are all involved, and you can understand how the different parts of your life fit together without sacrificing yourself in the process. There’s also a kite formation, giving all that Air somewhere to go. Ideas can become decisions and conversations can create change.

Mercury trine Uranus could deliver an unusual solution through a conversation. Excellent news. You don’t want a boring solution anyway. You’re Aries. Give us the weird answer that works.

Around the 15th, Venus brings tension involving groups, so avoid defending yourself before you know what’s going on. Watch. Listen. Use your intuition. There’s more information underneath the surface than you can see at first glance.

Neptune sextile Pluto adds another layer, helping you draw on instinct and remember how you’ve successfully handled difficult situations before.

Around the 18th, Mercury opposes Saturn and the focus returns to boundaries in one-to-one relationships.

Where is the balance of power?

Are you being controlled?

Are you trying to control the outcome because you’re afraid of what happens if you don’t?

Look at the dynamics in your closest relationships without flinching. Aries loves honesty, so use it on yourself as well as everybody else.

By the 21st, Mercury sextiles Jupiter, and this is one of my favourite days of the month for you. Love, relationships, passion, laughter and joy all get a beautiful boost. Conversations open doors and there’s a much more generous feeling around the people you care about.

On the 23rd, the Sun enters Libra and relationships become an even bigger priority. You’re more confident about what you want from love and partnership and more willing to put your heart on the table.

Full Moon in Aries

Then comes your Full Moon on the 26th.

This is a peak experience and it’s conjunct Neptune, so it goes deep. Information, feelings and revelations may have a strangely psychic quality, and this is a Full Moon to give yourself space around.

Spend time in nature. Journal. Think. Let yourself process what has changed.

Rather than filling the day with noise, leave enough space to hear yourself.

The Full Moon also connects with Pluto, and another Grand Trine and kite formation adds momentum. You’re seeing your life from a different angle and working out how to take action without making everything about what you want in isolation.

Your friendships matter. Your individuality matters. Your one-to-one relationships matter. You’re finding a plan that allows all of those parts of your life to exist together.

After Mars in Cancer, this should feel glorious.

Then on the 30th, Mercury enters Scorpio, giving your mind a psychic detective quality. You’re looking beneath appearances, spotting what other people miss and understanding the power dynamics in situations much faster.
