Happy New Year in more ways than one, Aquarius. A new year is always more than just a calendar change for you. January also ushers in Aquarius season which begins on the 20^th when the Sun arrives in your sign.

First however – look to rest, recuperation and recharging. Make self-care and wellbeing your main priority across the first three weeks of the month. Most importantly, follow your gut instincts. This is a supermoon under which to slow down and resist any pressure to do the opposite. If you give in, you are likely to experience burn-out or find yourself susceptible to whatever winter bug is doing the rounds. Mistakes or accidents can occur due to the supermoon opposing Mars in your 12^th. Someone may be overly demanding or simply not taking the fact you already have enough on your plate into consideration. It’s up to you to say no, Aquarius. And not feel any guilt doing so. If this is someone who regularly comes to you with their crises and expects you to drop everything, what you need to know is they always have a back-up and someone else to dump on lined up. Keep this in mind.

That Fortress of Solitude, ivory tower, s/he shed or just your cosy couch and a night in has probably never looked so inviting. Don’t be afraid to retreat to it. And spending a quiet night in with a loved one may be just what both of you need. Make that suggestion on the 8^th when Venus and Mars meet in your 12^th.
