Lion – Pride and Power

Lion swaggers into your consciousness to remind you that you are a leader. A situation is coming that requires you to stand strong and show your strength. The Strength card in Tarot tells us that real power can be gentle, it is not about brute force. You are stronger than you think, use your power wisely.

The shadow side of Lion energy is pride. Pride, of course, can be good but if you allow pride to lead you astray, you could end up isolating people. To achieve your goal and grab your prize it’s essential, to be honest, and kind. Yes, you may have to confront a situation, but when you have all the facts, there is no need to attack. Stand in your dignified glory.

Peacock – Protection and forgiveness.

You may have noticed that I have a huge peacock tattoo on my right arm. Peacock to me is a beautiful symbol and a constant reminder to forgive myself and others continually.

The peacock is the bird of Buddha and Buddha often transformed into the Peacock. Peacock signifies rebirth, protection and bravery. Kwan Yin, the Goddess of Compassion, also favours the peacock as does Lakshmi.

Another message of the Peacock is unconditional love and unconditional love of self. How was your childhood? Have you ever experienced unconditional love? Peacock urges you to be the mother you always wanted, to take care of yourself and also to strut your stuff!

Think about that message for a moment. When we show compassion to ourselves and others, life becomes easier, we build a more stable relationship with ourselves and can then extend the hand of love to others. When we have love for ourselves, we can express our ideas and creativity with confidence.
