Marlon Brando. The Wild One

Hey, wild one! With the arrival of Uranus in your sign (7^th), it’s important not to become a rebel without a pause. Or a cause. You may feel like rebelling – well, like Marlon Brando’s character in the 1953 film The Wild One. Any excuse in other words. But you need to choose what.

In the movie, the late, great Marlon Brando plays a very Uranian character. Charismatic, a rebel, the leader of a motor cycle gang and disillusioned with society. The line sums up the feeling of the times – we are talking a decade before the counter-culture revolution took place in the ‘60’s. Believe it or not – the film was banned in the UK until 1967! As ‘potentially dangerous on social grounds’. If you watch it now, it may seem mild and inoffensive by today’s standards. Although Brando’s performance is timeless. But its messages of subversion and of groups or subcultures offering viable alternatives to what was accepted or approved of by society back then, still stands. And continues today.

All this acts as the backdrop for Uranus in your 1^st. You are the maverick. The rebel. The leader of the pack. The free-thinker. The person who knows when to play by the accepted rules. And also when to write your own. Uranus’ call to rebel doesn’t mean you should throw the proverbial baby out with the bathwater however! Otherwise you can end up with nothing but regrets and not much to show for your efforts. That’s not what Uranus and the current cosmic phase wants for you. Choose your cause.

Uranus ushers in your great awakening. To your authentic self. And to the value of your ideas. Which should be set to be pretty ground breaking now. And yes, these may unsettle those around you who are afraid of change. Or seeing you change and leave them behind. Often when we are labelled a ‘Black Sheep’ by our family, or ‘difficult’ by others, it is because we are going against ingrained toxic or negative patterns that others simply see as normal. Do keep this in mind. Lean in to your bold. Uranus is all about breakouts, breakthroughs and breaking new ground. Going there not to rebel, but because it chimes with your authentic self.

It’s not all rebellion. Even if what you do has a rogue element about it. You have a certain elegance to those plans no matter how radical or revolutionary they may be thanks to Venus also in your sign. Yes, even those new ideas or revolutionary moves have a touch of diplomacy to them. Then there’s that vibe you’re broadcasting. All channels. Full bandwidth. Whether you’re aware of it or not. What you will immediately notice is you begin to attract different. Different people, ideas and opportunities. Dare to be different and that is what you will receive.

You’ll step into this fresh cycle free of past influences on some level courtesy of Venus’ final encounter with Uranus while both are still in your 12^th house (4^th). This occurs hours before Venus makes it entrance into your 1^st house. The shedding may happen suddenly. And this seems to be happening with a lot of people across all signs ever since Uranus entered its final ‘anaretic’ degree of Taurus (29 degrees). Which always puts planets at their most powerful.

If this is something you didn’t see coming, don’t try to stop the process. If it occurs, it is because it no longer serves your growth. Or has been lived out. This is the essence of the card of the Eight of Cups. You now need to walk away and not look back. Just let it go. In particular, watch the full Moon in Capricorn and your 8^th house (10^th). Which may mark the point of the final part of this process. Once behind you, you can face forward with anticipation, excitement and optimism to welcome in the new and outrageously, daringly different!

Ruler Mercury in Leo and your 3^rd house can usually be relied upon to add a touch of grand glamour and alluring sparkle to those communications. Look past the obvious

Take it that no matter what happens on the surface – you are on a roll in what is the most powerful cycle of attraction you have experienced in decades. And it continues all year long. Even after the end of your birthday season when the Sun leaves your sign on the 22^nd.

One of the challenges for you may be looking beyond the obvious when it comes to what’s going on however. In other words – what looks like a disappointment or even a set-back turns into a blessing in disguise. And frees you to later accept something better. One of those instances where on reflection further down the line, you realise you had a very narrow escape.

The most obvious being you have your heart broken. That relationship you had invested so much in, falls over. Later, you realise it would never have worked anyway. Or you discover something about the person which would have made it a total deal-breaker. But if you had continued, not only would the heart-ache and disappointment been more profound, but you would never have met the person you are now with. That’s the mysterious ways you can expect the universe – and Uranus in your 12^th house, to have your back.

Uranus is the planet with a plan. Even if it appears all it is there to do is stir up chaos. It moves into Gemini and your 12^th house on the 7^th. Following Venus which arrives on the 4^th. Keep in mind that you are under Jupiter’s blessing as this cycle begins. And also – that what is meant for you, cannot pass you by. A universal outlook and willingness to let go of trying to make something happen or work, delivers exactly the right outcome you needed. Your full Moon lunation this month takes place in your opposite sign of Capricorn on the 10^th. Known as the ‘Buck Moon’ – this is when stags begin to regrow their antlers. We also have Neptune in the same house as Saturn – your 10^th, retrograde from the 4^th. And then Mercury in your money zone retrograde from the 18^th. If there is an issue around a union – or even your work, do tackle it. Before both Saturn and then Mercury reverse. Otherwise you may find things either fester away, nothing gets resolved or you ‘lock horns’ later. Like those deer.

This retro season is an excellent one under which to take stock of your progress since December. And also look at your overall life plan. Especially with regards to your path, your career and your money. Mine your past, Cancer. It’s rich in veins of treasure you can use to fund your future. Even those plans which didn’t work out contain valuable lessons for you. You now know to try a different approach. And Uranus in your 12^th gives you access to innovation and world-changing tactics. It’s about rethinking your definition of what ‘rich’ and ‘wealthy’ are. Of exploring new ways you can increase your income. Change your ‘type’ – and how you see yourself

Have you been doing too much for too little too long?

Love planet Venus has its final date with Uranus in Taurus and your 7^th on the 4^th. Hours before it sashays into Gemini and your 8^th. Venus is in its ruling sign and ruling house in your chart. Which could bring a surprising change to your partnership status. In the best possible way.

If it’s been a drought rather than raining and pouring, and your love life has been boring you to tears to quote the disco anthem by divas Summer and Streisand, Uranus’ arrival in your 8^th says ‘Enough is enough!’. You are also in one of your best cycles for travel, learning, expansion and opportunity that you’ve experienced in decades thanks to Jupiter in Cancer and your 9^th house. Venus will join Jupiter in here from the end of the month. But first there’s an opportunity to claim what you deserve on the 10^th with the full Moon in Capricorn and your 3^rd house.

Look to whether or not you are working too hard, for less than you should. Or even for free. Something given has no value. If you have been undervaluing yourself on any level, strangely this full Moon will highlight the results of that. Via how people communicate your value back to you or are treating you.
