Keep your focus on the love of friends this festive season. Goals also get reinjected with extra inventiveness as the new Moon in your 11^th (1^st), marks the official start of your annual party season. Yes, for some, an enchanted meeting may take place. This is all thanks to the new Moon opposition Jupiter. Plus a full Moon in your 5^th conjunct Jupiter (15^th). And also two key oppositions between Mercury and Jupiter which occur this month (4^th and 26^th). But Mercury is retrograde in your 11^th. It moves ahead the same day as the full Moon. But needs until the very start of January to clear retro-shade. So, the outcome of something new could be wrapped in mystery. No peeking, Aquarius. Wait for the reveal.

You are at the very start of your Now Age of Aquarius cycle. And this coincides with not only that Mars retro in Leo, but the arrival of Venus (7^th) and Ceres (8^th) in your sign. You may be impatient for change. Determined to bring about a new beginning. But fresh starts like answers, may take a while to crystallise. You can’t hurry love or any outcome now. Both planets will encounter newly arrived Pluto when they enter. Venus on the same day it arrives. And Ceres the day after.

Let’s talk astro hacks for your Now Age. Venus rules your home and family life. As well as love and money. The Sun rules your long term partnerships. There is a bit of a debate happening out there amongst astrologers now Ceres has been elevated to dwarf planet status alongside Pluto. Now way back in the 19^th century when astronomers first discovered Ceres, they thought it should be assigned to Virgo. There are clear links between Ceres and its mythological associations and the sign of Virgo.

More recently, some astrologers believe Ceres should rule Taurus. This one is a little more tenuous. Both Taurus and Virgo share their rulers with other signs. Taurus shares ruler Venus with Libra. And Virgo Mercury with Gemini. So, many believe these signs should have a ruler all to themselves. Just as your ancient ruler used to be Saturn, but now you have Uranus. However, if Ceres is going to be given rulership of either sign, this probably won’t happen for some time. What we can say for sure about Ceres is, it is as powerful as Pluto. And it often brings in a new deal or a win/win. It is also linked to feeling loved, cared for, protected and nurtured while being given the confidence and freedom to make your own choices. And potentially mistakes you learn from.

Negative Ceres could manifest as helicopter parenting. Or the parent who reserves their love for the child they see as most like themselves. This can be a sensitive time of year for those who feel a parent’s love isn’t unconditional. Or that their sibling is the ‘favoured’ child. If these are themes that you have had to deal with in your family, you might want to look at where Ceres is in your chart. Especially if it sits close to Chiron.

So, one outcome of this Venus/Ceres/Pluto pile-up could be your new deal on the holidays. Where you opt for something that hands you that special feeling of being surrounded by who or what nurtures you the most. In some way, you decide to show yourself self-love. By opting out or yes, in some instances, opting in. But it works for you – and is your authentic reflection of what the season means for you. Just take it that ‘authenticity’ is your mantra for living from now – all the way until 2043!

The Ceres/Pluto meeting can also bring about new awareness and a powerful healing when it comes to childhood wounds. Especially combined with the Mercury/Jupiter alignments across your 11th/5th houses. Your 5^th is not just your house of romance, pleasure, luck and how you effortlessly shine. It is also your house of your inner child. Look to the 4^th and 26^th when Mercury and Jupiter oppose to clear away remaining barriers to expressing the jewel you were when younger. This will also allow manifestation magic to flow free, flooding your life with ways towards your desires.

The full Moon in your 5^th (15^th), occurs the day Mercury moves ahead. It also passes over Jupiter and squares Saturn in your 2^nd. Allowing you to have a powerful self-parenting moment. You will no longer give in to pressure to go along with anything that doesn’t seem right. And although Mars retro in your 7^th is about slow burn love, this is a fabulous, lush and indulgent night to share your feelings with someone. Your other dates are the 2^nd (Venus trine ruler Uranus) and the 12^th (Venus opposition Mars). Whether its expressing yourself, meeting friends or honouring your own needs with or without a partner, you’ll feel free to be authentically you.
